Cops probe EBC break-ins
Point Fortin police are continuing their investigations into the break-in of the Point Fortin Elections and Boundaries Commission’s Registration Offices, which occured on Tuesday. According to police sources, around 4 pm on Tuesday, the janitor reportedly secured the building, which is situated at Furlong Street, Mahaica, Point Fortin. However, when the office supervisor returned to the workplace the following morning at around 7.30 am, he discovered that the building was broken into and completely ransacked.
He discovered that a Polaroid camera, valued at $3,500, and a microwave oven valued at $600 was missing. Visiting the scene was Cpl Anthony Monsegue, PC Sookraj and PC Joefield of the Point Fortin Police Station. PC Joefield of the Point Fortin CID processed the scene and found workable fingerprints on a louvre payne which was removed from a window on the eastern side of the building. No arrests have been made.
