Neal and Massy manager found dead in car
Police have ruled out robbery in the shooting death of Harold Henderson, 43, whose body was discovered slumped in his Primera car at Samaan Park, Macqueripe early yesterday. A woman who was in company with Henderson at the time of the shooting death was questioned by police and released. Police reports revealed that around 3 am yesterday, Henderson who is a manager at Neal and Massy in charge of Auto Rentals was seated in his car in company with a woman.
A shot rang out and Henderson was shot once in the neck. He reportedly died minutes after being shot. Police investigators said they have ruled out robbery since neither Henderson nor the woman were robbed. The car was towed to the Four Roads Police Station where it was dusted for prints. The body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre. When Newsday visited the Cascade home of the dead man, relatives were only prepared to say that he was a devoted father and husband. He was a cyclist and rode every morning at Macqueripe. Newsday learned that Henderson attended a party on Christmas night with a female cousin and friends. Police also discovered that Henderson did not own a gun. They were comforted by South Mayor Ian Atherly and Andre Monteil, an executive member of Clico. ACP Crime James Philbert and other senior officers visited the scene of the shooting death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
