Catalyst to premiere in 2004

The production, Catalyst, originally scheduled to open in October 2003, will now premiere and be ready for public enjoyment in 2004. Producers at Tete-a-Tete Theatre describe The Catalyst as a musical, political drama. It follows the interwoven lives of a humble peanut vendor, an arrogant calypsonian and a self-centred neophyte politician. Their individual existences collide and clash in explosive battles of morals versus temptations, politics against people and stability threatened by provocation.

Hidden behind the social confusion is an unseen and apparent dark force that sits waiting for the opportune moment to strike. The Catalyst is the first full-length play written by Cacique Award winner, Eric Barry. Twelve years in the making, the many plot twists and turns of the play create a joy ride of suspense and adventure, coloured with Calypso and local musical rhythms.
