Man held for growing ganja

OFFICERS FROM the Arouca E999 have arrested and charged a 21-year-old man for cultivating marijuana. According to reports, the man was arrested yesterday as he tended the fully grown plants in bushes near the Trincity Industrial Estate on Tissue Drive. He ran when he saw the officers but was captured moments later. The officers involved in the exercise were Cpl Michael McDonald and PCs Frank Fox, Leon Norbert, Russell Murray and Wayne Leopold. The man, of no fixed place of abode, will appear before a Tunapuna magistrate today.
