Sangre Grande woman needs help for surgery
SEETA RAMESSAR, of Ojoe Road in Sangre Grande is in dire need of an MRI scan and knee replacement surgery. Since 2001, Ramessar has been a patient of the Orthopaedic Department of the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. She is being treated for an internal derangement of her left knee for which an ACT reconstruction was recommended.
However, because of non-availability of the equipment to do the surgery, she was referred to the private sector to have the operation done. A quotation from the hospital’s Specialist Medical Officer, David Toby, stated that the MRI scan would cost $2,800, while the ACT reconstruction would total $35,000. Ramessar, who is single and unemployed, is seeking the assistance of the public to raise the necessary funds for her surgery. The public can make deposits to Ramessar’s account (0217107986) at the Sangre Grande branch of RBTT or call 691-5067 for more information.
