Poser not singing with Revue

CALYPSONIAN POSER (Sylvester Lockhart) is upset with the management of Calypso Revue for putting his picture in advertisements for the tent. He said he has moved on and will be on the cast of Calypso Spektakula this season. “I am very hurt by the way the management of the Revue treated me last year and they know I am not singing with them this year,” Poser told Newsday. “I  requested several meetings with them earlier and they refused to meet with me. “In seeking my interest I signed with another tent.

“I am one of the oldest singers out of the Revue. I have been singing with them since the 60s at NUGFW Hall and Legion Hall. I have made a sterling contribution to the Revue but Jazzy Pantin and them listening to other people who don’t know anything about management.” Last year Poser sang “Tribute To The Revue” and opened both halves of the show for the season. “Having done so much work for them I told them I would be back if the price is right. They never called me and although I called them on several occasions, management never met with me,” he complained. “Although I am hurt by the treatment they have meted out to me I wish them well but the time has come for me to move on,” he said.
