Quick cops hold robbery suspects
QUICK action by the Woodbrook Police resulted in the arrests of two bandits. According to police reports, the two men robbed a man who was on Dere Street, Port-of-Spain. The man was reportedly waiting in a car for his daughter at 6.30 pm when the bandits pounced on him. The bandits robbed the man of cash, jewllery and his cellphone before escaping on foot.
A report was made to the Woodbrook Police, who held the men a short distance away. All items were recovered. Officers responsible for the arrests include Cpl Alleyne along with Constables Halls and Joseph. Both men are expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today to answer charges of robbery with aggravation. The men are also expected to be placed on identification parades for various house breaking incidents and robberies in the Woodbrook area.
