Cops stop brawl on bus

Police officers on patrol on Independence Square had to intervene in a scuffle yesterday between a busload of St James Secondary School students and a male paswsenger. It was reported that the students were “harassing” the man about his smell causing him to become angry. There was a heated exchange of words, as some students shouted, “What yuh could do, is you against all of us.”

The angry man, on hearing this, ran out the bus, picked up a glass bottle and proceeded to chase the students, threatening to “buss” their heads head if he caught them. It was then the police intervened. Some students scampered off on seeing the officers. The man, however, had to be restrained. “Dem students had knives on them, that is why I pick up the bottle,” he added, “I fed up of this. Is everyday this stupidness happening.” No arrests were made.
