Bill Trotman marks a golden milestone

THERE IS no better way to celebrate a golden anniversary that with your family, and that is exactly what veteran calypsonian Bill Trotman is doing this year.

Trotman is celebrating his 50th year in the business, and his son, Darryl Durham (Double D) has decided to record and produce a song. The song, “Celebrate,” was released on Thursday evening to various radio stations. Double D says this is the best way he could ever pay tribute his father: “I worked with Rikki Jai and then Calypso Rose. It is now fitting that I work with my father.” He plans to honour his father even more on January 29 with a motorcade from Arima to Port-of-Spain.  Bill will also celebrate his 70th birthday on Sunday, while Double D will celebrate his 15th year in the business.
