Improved conditions at south Licensing Office

THE EDITOR: I sometimes wonder how southerners tolerate the terrible conditions at the Licensing Office in San Fernando. In spite of the fact that there is so much land available, it has apparently never occurred to anyone to clear up the space, pave it, and make a proper parking facility. At present, anyone parks just about anywhere, and sometimes the traffic in there is really annoying.

This is a problem easily solved if those in charge show a little diligence and abandon the ‘‘pay running’’ syndrome which seems to prevail in the public sector. It is only fair that these improvements be made — after all, the various charges the Licensing Office inflicts upon the public for its services are exorbitant to say the least, and the public should demand value for money.
