Le Fabuleux Dansur ready to run

LE FABULEUX DANSUR sounded a warning to his rivals in tomorrow’s Champagne Stakes with a smooth run over 1000 metres on sloppy ground conditions at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, yesterday. The American-bred four-year-old for which subscriptions have been paid to race in the Sandy Lane Gold Cup at the Garrison Savannah, Barbados, on March 6 continues to show marked improvement since opening his winning account last month,  and looked in top shape for his engagement, breezing the distance in 1:03.75 seconds, best time for the trip. Connections will make a decision whether to send the colt to Barbados after tomorrow’s turf event over 1600 metres.

Stewards Cup runner-up Miss Lover Lover who is also in the “Champagne” went steadily over the same acreage and was not pressed in recording 1:05  flat. French Academy who will attempt to turn in her maiden certificate in the 1200 metres dash for West Indian-bred three-year-olds on the ten-race card sponsored by the Barbados Tourism Authority, also shaped well in the slop. The John O’Brien-trained filly stretch out over the same distance with raceday rider Nobel Abrego aboard in 1:06.48 seconds. Rocket Booster has not done anything of note in both her starts, but seemed to relish underfoot conditions, although not asked to go fast. Her movements suggests she clearly enjoyed herself in posting a modest time of 40.37 seconds over 600 metres.
