Gill seeks to maintain cycling tempo today in keep-fit grind

The Joe’s Pizza and Classic Caterers “Keep Fit Road Race” is carded to begin at 7 am on the Foreshore today. Christopher Gill, last week’s winner will be keen on staving off the challenge from Australian team mate Darren Reid who finished second in the previous event. The Heat Wave Cycling teammates will have to balance the in-team rivalry while combating the aspirations of the Clinton Grant, Roger Smart, Alexander brothers and the returning Michael Phillips who has stepped into the fray to deepen the quality of the field.

After the start on the Foreshore, the race will follow a course along the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway toward Wallerfield where they will make a left on Antigua Road continuing along the Eastern Main Road, left along Demerara Road back on to the Churchill Roosevelt Highway and to the finish line on the Foreshore.
