Bajans wrap up Carib Beer title
CHARLOTTE AMAL at the Addelita Cancryn High School ground yesterday, made sure of lifting the Carib Beer Series title for a second consecutive season. Following on 271 runs behind the Barbados first innings score of 432, the Leewards tumbled to 223 all out at approximately 2.45 pm, to give the Bajans their sixth outright victory in a row. Left-arm pacer Pedro Collins was the chief wicket-taker with three wickets for 46 runs, while new West Indies player Dwayne Smith took two for 23 and Ryan Hurley two for 42. Only a fourth-wicket partnership of 108 runs between topscorer Tonito Willett 63 and Sylvester Joseph 50 threatened to deny the Bajans.
