Gardner equals 60m mark

GERMANY: European 60 metres record holder Jason Gardener sees no reason why he should not run even faster in the coming weeks after equalling his five-year mark of 6.46 seconds in Karlsruhe.

Gardener had been predicting since winning his opening race in Glasgow three weeks ago that beating the record which earned him the first of two World Championships bronze medals has always been on the cards.
The “Bath Bullet” thrilled the German crowd as he matched Linford Christie’s 10-year LBBW meeting record in his heat, then took two hundreds of a second off it with an electric run in the final.
