Monopoly not serving TT

THE EDITOR: I am disgusted by the deplorable service rendered to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago by our one and only communications company in this country. The citizens of this country need to unite and confront the government about this monopoly in the communications service.

Firstly, we need better service whether commercial or residential, secondly, better rates. For instance, I purchased a new GSM mobile telephone on February 13, 2004 up to this current date, February 17, 2004 my phone is not activated. I cannot understand why on earth TSTT has cellular outlets offering the service to activate their phones and yet they take long to activate them. We are people too; we have things to do also with our mobile telephones.
