Leong, Clarke win RBTT golf

TERRENCE LEONG and Tracey Clarke won the respective men and women titles at the RBTT Invitational Golf Tournament, which was staged at the Pointe-a-Pierre Golf Course.

Over 150 golfers were on the greens in the Trinidad and Tobago Golf Association (TTGA) sanctioned event but, in the end, Leong prevailed in the men’s category with a two-day gross score of 10-over-par 150. And Clarke was successful amongst the women with a gross tally of 13-over-par 153.

The competition was sponsored by RBTT for the 15th successive year and it highlighted the bank’s commitment to community involvement as well as sport development locally. And the two-day contest gave participants the chance to earn points towards the national team trials in July. The Trinidad and Tobago golf team will be defending the Hoerman Cup at the 2004 Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships at the Grand Bahamas in early August.
