SOS to port Authority

THE EDITOR: Kindly allow me some space in your newspaper to comment on the slow thinkers at the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. At present, MV Panorama works on and off with no one really to confirm to the public when she can be back on a regular basis or if her papers are in order.

Cargo owners are in a similar mess, having to book at times two weeks in advance to move goods on sea-bridge maybe it’s time to do one of three things:
1) Engage another passenger ferry
2) Engage a cargo vessel exclusively for cargo so as to free up space for vehicles especially at this high peak Carnival season
3) Engage a new Board at the Port with the public interest at heart who knows what they are doing.
