Winnington whips big brother

WINNINGTON Grazette proved he was too much for elder brother Ivor in yesterday’s Men’s “A” Division singles final of the Public Courts Open Classified Tennis Champion-ships. The younger Grazette despite a 15-minute rain delay, upset the odds by  prevailing 6-3, 6-1 at the Public Courts, Princes Building Grounds, Port-of-Spain. In the Veterans final Michael Cooper needed two hours and 28 minutes to defeat Swaran Maharaj 6-4, 6-3. Matches continue today from 4 pm with the Women’s “C” Division final between Mora Sealey and Christina Bennett as well as the doubles quarter-finals in the Men’s “A”, “B”, “C” and the Women Open.
