Fire guts home of top n-baller

WITCO “Sportswoman of the Year” for 1991, Bridgette Adams was left homeless after a fire destroyed her Trincity home. It is understood nothing was saved after fire razed Adams’ home on Wednesday last week. And an appeal is being made for assistance for the ex-Calypso Girls netballer skipper. A close friend said yesterday, Adams was treated at hospital for a hairline fracture to her skull from a fall while escaping the fire. After she was released from hospital she stayed at an apartment at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence. Adams starred for Marvellites in the Port-of-Spain Netball League after being discovered by the late Jean Pierre while she was a schoolgirl at Mayaro.
