Dayna Grazette wins tennis singles

DAYNA GRAZETTE played brilliant tennis to take the “A” Division women singles title in the Public Courts Classified Tournament. She beat Callista Mohammed 6-4, 7-5 in yesterday’s final at the Princes Building court in Port-of-Spain. Her victory saw the Grazette family take both singles titles, after younger brother Winnington beat national champion and the elder Ivor to take the “A” Division men’s crown.

In other action yesterday, Abdoulaye Camara advanced to the “C” Division final with a 1-6, 6-0, 6-0 win over Michael Pemberton. And Noah Haynes and Louis Villaroel stopped John Furlonge and Kedron Duke 6-0, 6-2 to enter the “B” Division doubles final.
