Truth must be revealed, unfair criticisms against Govt must stop
THE EDITOR: It seems that Lystra Marajh of Glencoe started to live in Trinidad just when the PNM last came into Government, because she does not ever mention the multiplicity of wrongs perpetuated by the UNC when they were riding rough-shod over this land and raping the treasury. The Lystra Marajhs of this land who recently came in aboard the UNC “Fatal Reject” ship of state, were a very quiet bunch when their party was in power draining the economic resources of this land while fooling the people about this cosmetic belief of national unity to get their votes. See how you don’t hear any talk about national unity anymore, it’s only about constitutional reform and civil disobedience on every conceivable print and electronic media outlet.
They fail to remember that this is Trinidad and Tobago and not India and should stop measuring everyone’s successes or failures along ethnic equations, many are the varied races that make up this land and it does not belong to you or the UNC. Time to take off your ethnic cloak and put on your patriotic coat, come down to planet earth to TT, the land of your birth and stop your nonsense of “Murder She Wrote!” In her letter of Tuesday February 24, under the headline “Innocents killed as cops protect winers” she unfairly attacks Commissioner Snaggs, the Police Service and the Government, and goes on to ask “who was watching the backs of Maria Greenidge and Kamilah Townsend? Two lives brutally snuffed out while the police kept watch over people wining in other parts of the country.” How cynical! It is because of the same police that you safely survive.
Those are unfair criticisms against the police service of which I am a proud member for twenty five years. Time to stop your open hatred and try to be a citizen of this blessed Trinbago or did you come aboard the ill- fated UNC cruise liner “Fatal Reject”? Time for Ms Marajh and her ilk to “get thee hence” and thence to a place behind a fence where there is a residence that they can cleanse and make amends for their many transgressions against “Mother Trinbago.” now that makes sense. She reminds me of another Lystra somewhere in Sangre Grande who has a blinding “Lythe” placed on her by the NAR. I have bared my soul, you can hate me now. You can kill me but you can’t kill the truth, this must not be about party or race, it must be about people, our people, people of Trinidad and Tobago. Nuff said!
