Union leaders irresponsible

THE EDITOR: Most Trinidadians and Tobagonians will be very unhappy with the totally irresponsible remarks of our union leaders on TV News this evening, particularly from the PSA. Why the objection to Police and Army presence? Is it that the Unions had intended some illegal or terrorist activity and the presence of these deterents stymied their action. What intimidation are they talking about? Is that it that they see the mere presence of the security services as intimidation.

People’s property is important and the employers have every right to the protection of the security services and to ensure the safety of  their personnel. We ask NATUC again: why are you concerned about the security services being present? They are there for your protection too.
