The Passion of The Christ revealed

THE EDITOR: I was very sceptical about seeing The Passion Of The Christ now showing at cinemas nationwide. There was one question in my mind, should I view this movie made by a Hollywood producer? The content of the passion of our Lord holds such significance to us Christians, I wondered if this movie was just another money making venture.

I weighed these thoughts for a while and I eventually viewed the movie. It is a movie everyone should see, especially Christians. While the images were graphic and violent, the message behind them were blatantly clear. This movie shocks the viewer into introspection. Often we as Christians become so comfortable in our positions and stations in life, we fail to see how Jesus’ suffering and death relate to us.

Many of us cannot come to terms with the truth and as Pilate asked “Truth? What is that?” (John 18: 38-39) We spend all our lives searching for a God who has always been there for us. I end by urging those who have a strong heart to view the movie and courageously venture to this place with Christ by participating wholeheartedly in “The Stations Of The Cross” at churches across our land.

Jesus said in John 14: 6-8, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one can come to the Father except through me. If you know me, you know my Father too.” May God continue to shower his blessings on us all. Yours in Christ.
