Are you a good person?

IT SEEMS to me the reason there is so much trouble in the world is because people these days simply don’t know the very basic difference between right and wrong, between good and bad, between smart and stupid. Being a good person is not so hard, but being a bad person is incredibly easy, which is why there are so many bad little Trinis out there. Don’t know which category you fit into? Well answer these ten questions and find out for yourself!  

1. CLEANLINESS
When you finish eating a box of KFC, do you
(a) Put it in the garbage bin a few steps away, or
(b) Throw it on the ground?
If you answered (b) you are a BAD PERSON!!!
2. ENVIRONMENT
When you are in a car smoking a cigarette, do you
(a) Put it in the ashtray and out it, or
(b) Throw it out the window, thus burning down the entire mountainside?
If you answered (b), you are a BAD PERSON!!!
3. WORK ETHICS
When you are at your job and a customer approaches, do you
(a) Greet them in a friendly fashion and assist them, or
(b) Dig your scalp with your pen, steups and chew your gum while singing along to the latest Elephant Man song blasting on the store radio?
If you answered (b) you are a BAD PERSON!!!
4. ON THE ROAD
When you are sitting in a long line of traffic, feeling frustrated, do you
(a) Sit patiently like everyone else dying to get home, or   
(b) Overtake the line, obstruct traffic and jam in front of someone?

5. PET CARE
When your dog disobeys you, do you

6. CHILDREN
When you move in with your new girlfriend/wife, do you
(a) Try to be a good partner and father, or

7. SOCIAL LIFE
When you are out liming and someone bumps into you, spilling your drink, do you
(a) Give him a dirty look and dry off, or
(b) Shoot the bastard in the back of the head?

8. HEALTH
If you have a sexually transmitted disease, do you
(a) Practice safe sex or abstain from risky behaviour, or
(b) Pass it on to everyone you know in revenge?

9. LOVE
If your girlfriend leaves you, do you
(a) Mourn and then move on with your life, or
(b) Stalk her, chop her with a cutlass, and then drink grammoxone?
If you answered (b) you are a BAD PERSON!!!
10. IN PUBLIC
When you are in the cinema and your cell phone rings, do you
(a) Immediately turn it off, or
(b) Take it out of your pocket, see who’s on caller ID, answer the phone and say, “Hello? HELLO? Yeah. I in de cinema. Wha? Ah cah hear yuh, ah in Movie Tong boy. Who ah wit? I wit Patrice. Ah go call yuh later. What ah seein? Takin Lives. Yeah boy it good. Latahs.”?

Over the next few days of Easter holidays, you may find yourself in many of the scenarios mentioned above, and should you have to make the choice between the right thing and the wrong thing, I hope you will choose to be the best little Trinbagonian you can be.
