Toyota Classic kicks off
Eight teams from the Digicel Pro League and eight teams from the Blink/bmobile National Super League are competing in this year’s tournament.
Both Connection and Defence Force’s Super League team are involved in Group “C”, and this game will take place from 8 pm at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.
The other Group “C” contest, with current Super League leaders WASA FC and St Ann’s Rangers, are slated to meet at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo at 8 pm.
In the earlier game at Mucurapo, another league leaders, Caledonia AIA (Pro League) will be opposing FC Santa Rosa, in Group “B”, with Stokely Vale hosting Police FC at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet at 8 pm.
TTEC, the 2011 runners-up, are in Group “A”, and they will have to deal with the test of Super League club Joe Public at six o’clock at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.
Simultaneously, in Group “A”, North East Stars will square off against Siparia Spurs at Marabella.
The other set of matches will be contested in Group “D”, with two new teams in the local circuit, Central FC and Westside Superstarzs FC meeting at Couva from 8 pm while Defence Force will make the inter-island trek to face 1976 FC Phoenix at Bacolet.
The Quarter finals will be staged on November 27, while the Semi Finals are scheduled on November 30 and the Final carded for December 7.
