Police escape with PoSNL victory

POLICE escaped with a one-goal (33-32) victory over Arima Ball Masters in their Lady Erna Reece Intermediate Division 1 match in the Port-of-Spain Netball League at Lystra Lewis Courts, Princes Building. But Defence Force crushed Horizon 40-13 in the same division in Wednesday afternoon action. Veterans Camille Aubin and ex-national coach Grace Parkinson-Griffith helped Marvellites to a comfortable 42-23 win over Ebony in their Janet Bailey A2 Division game, while Mucurapo Ex-Pupils whipped Hampton Jesters 39-34.

Gushier Grant had 25 goals from 26 attempts, Conderlie James got seven of 13 and Tracey Regis one of two for the Policewomen in their victory. Melissa Snaggs got 24 goals from 33 attempts and Giselle Hobson eight of 13 for the Arima girls. And Melissa Roberts had 28 goals from 41 attempts and sister Beverly 12 of 20 in the Army-Coast Guard women victory over Horizon, for whom Erica Job had 12 of 22 and Candice Les Pierre one.
