Central top of Unit Trust U-19 cricket

CENTRAL ZONE have soared to the lead in the 2004 Unit Trust Under-19 Cricket Championships after three rounds. So far, the Central lads have garnered 32 points after their latest game against  South East which ended in a draw at Presentation College, Chaguanas.


Central totalled a whopping 354 for seven wickets declared, then bowled out South East to 143. Made to follow-on, South East were tottering on 121 for five wickets when the game was called off. In the other round three match, North East took first innings points from North.


The Northerners batted first and hit 121 for seven wickets declared with Samuel Felix getting 50. But North East replied with 123 for nine declared with Prudencio Cedeno getting 59. North also declared their second innings after reaching 179 for five, setting North East a victory target of 178 runs, but they managed only  47 runs for three wickets by the close.

At Presentation College, Chaguanas: CENTRAL 354/7 declared vs SOUTH EAST 143 and 121/5.
