Clico boost youth tennis

Tennis Association of Trinidad and Tobago have developed a youth development programme in partnership with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago through the Sport and Culture Fund and the International Tennis Federation. CLICO Investment Bank (CIB) is also associated with the programme which will target selected primary schools throughout Trinidad and Tobago with the view of developing discipline, strength of character, sense of commitment, tolerance and teamwork as they are taught the game of tennis.

The programme will give birth to the Primary School Tennis League to be played from April 26-30 2004 in five zones — North, South/Central, Pt Fortin, East and Tobago, with each zone’s champion school competing in the national finals. Through the programme CIB hopes to demonstrate its dedication to and support of excellence within the national community, through an ongoing commitment to youth in sport.
