Hats off to Occupational Health and Safety course tutor

THE EDITOR: Kindly allow me a few lines in your “letters” column of the daily newspapers to express my sincerest and heartfelt thanks to an individual who gave a lot of his time, energy and expertise to ensure that I, and some of my other co-workers, benefited from an Occupational Health and Safety course that we were involved in.

I was fortunate to be selected to partake in the Occupational Health and Safety course, which was held by the Occupational Health and Safety Association in collaboration with the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Studies for the period 2003/2004. The tutor for that particular course, which was held in Sangre Grande, was Andrew Lokai. Mr Lokai carried himself with true professionalism and went out of his way to make sure that we all understood what he was teaching us.

The course has since come to an end, however, I wanted to express my sincerest thank you to Mr Lokai for assisting me to understand the logistics of Occupational Health and Safety, which in turn will make me a better professional than I was before. Hats off to you Mr Lokai and I thank you.
