Carib Sunday League final now May 29

The 2004 Carib Sunday League final which was washed out last weekend will now be played on May 29 at the same venue. This was stated in a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board of Control (TTCBC). Last Saturday three-time champions Alescon Comets were to play PowerGen in the day/night 50 overs match. However inclement weather prevented any play. The following day put aside as the reserve day was also rained off and at that time it was declared that the title be jointly held.

However after discussions among the officials from the TTCBC, sponsors Carib and the clubs, the match was deemed null and void and the finals will now be played on May 29. There is one change though. The match will now be played as an all day affair starting at 9.30 am. Winners of the title will receive $30,000, while the runners-up will take away $14,000. There will also be a lot of giveaways by the sponsors Carib Beer.
