Top weight for Invincibility

FIRST CITIZENS BANK Sian’s Gold Sprint Handicap winner Invincibility was handed the top impost of 56.5 kilos for the Handicap 1 and Lower race on the Arima Race Club Day 13 card at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, on Saturday. The son of Belong To Me/Hitaway after scoring on opening day of the current racing season, ran a close-up third behind Outswinger on the turf over 1600 metres in the Champagne Stakes Handicap, but never looked the part when sent over 1800-metres on the main course in the Arima Race Club Cup Handicap earlier this month.

The four-year-old bay colt which races in the familiar royal blue, yellow and emerald colours of owner Junior Sammy, will face six rivals in the 1300 metres handicap worth $32,000 on Saturday. In the extended sprint he will be handing out three kilos to nearest rival Fortunate Flag and 12 kilos to bottomweight Stonebright. Man Of Class, Smooth Operator and Dottie’s Way will each carry 52.5 kilos in the event, with Honour Bound packing 48.5 in his saddlebag.
