Kudos to CEPEP at SanCity Green Expo

The expo took place in Skinner Park with many exhibitors present to share information and give demonstrations on their products and services. It was a good opportunity for environmentally friendly companies to educate the public on what they offer. Children and young adults especially seemed very interested, not only in the games and giveaways, but the educational aspect as well.

I was most impressed with The CEPEP Company Limited. I had no idea that they were involved in so many aspects other than cleaning and beautifying. Their booth was one of the more popular booths, being the most identifiable with its natural bamboo outlook. Their promotional giveaways attracted me as they offered practical eco-friendly items.

Many fail to realise that CEPEP is doing a lot of good for this country. For instance, they do a lot of community work and they have DART (Dead Animal Removal Team) and DERT (Disaster and Emergency Response Team) initiatives. I was also surprised to learn that they maintain wetlands such as Caroni Swamp and others with CEPEP Marine.

Another aspect which I feel the need to mention is the paid services that they offer. I was impressed when they informed me that I can contact them to do commercial and domestic ground maintenance, landscaping, small construction or even rental of heavy equipment for my private property! Kudos to the Board of Directors and Management of The CEPEP Company Limited in their efforts to expand the programme for the greater good of society.

All in all I had a good time at the expo. Regardless of the weather condition, people came out in numbers and I hope it continues on annual basis.
