Pizza Hut Medal Golf on Chaguaramas course

PIZZA HUT will sponsor today’s monthly Medal Golf tournament, which will be contested at the Chaguaramas Golf Course. The first tournament hosted by the new Chaguaramas Golf Club’s executive, led by president Andrew Aleong, will see prizes for the top finishers in the “A”, “B”, “C” and “D” classes while other prizes will be awarded for “nearest the pin” on selected holes.

According to a media release, the course, which is the lone public golf course in Trinidad and Tobago, “has seen many improvements in the maintenance and management of the greens and fairways.” “In addition,” the release stated, “a new sprinkler system is being installed to help keep the course open, available and on par with the other private golf courses in the country.” The club, which has a very active junior programme, “has already provided coaching to over 500 children interesting in learning the sport.”
