Goal-Shoot Barker at her best for Arima

ARIMA UNITED thumped Soul City 47-37 when they tangled in the Pearl Francis Championship Division of the Port-of-Spain Netball at the Lystra Lewis Courts, Princes Building. National goal-shoot Janelle Barker was at her best in Saturday’s match, scoring 42 of her 49 attempts for the Arima girls, with Sophia Blackman getting five of 17. Sonia Jack got 20 of 28 attempts, Anne Marie Evans had 14 of 20, and Debra Beckles, three of six for Soul City. In Janet Bailey “A2” Division action, Mucurapo Ex-Pupils whipped Harlem 40-33, leading at all the stops. Tricia Roberts netted 21 goals from 39 attempts and Donessa Wickham had 19 of 36 for Ex-Pupils. Simone Peters scored 16 goals and Mona Thomas had  seven for Harlem.
