Poor bus service to Piarco

THE EDITOR: I would like to express my disgust in the PTSC service for the morning route from Port-of-Spain to Piarco. The seven o’clock bus is very late sometimes, arriving approximately 15 to 20 minutes late. When it arrives, to my dismay it is a small bus that carries half the number of people that a large bus usually carries. This means that after the people who are waiting in City Gate get in there is not enough room for the other passengers to be picked up along the route to Piarco.

It is very unfair and humiliating for these persons who were waiting at the Morvant or San Juan stops. Imagine patiently waiting for a length of time for transport that you know usually comes, and then when you actually see the bus, it passes straight. You are then forced to wait for another means of transportation and face the fact that you are late for work. PTSC needs to improve their service immediately. This is a public transport and we taxpayers deserve better.
