Danielle's costume wows them

MISS TT Universe Danielle Jones was second runner-up for the Best National Costume award, one of the pre-Pageant events leading up to the Miss Universe 2004 contest which comes off in Quito, Ecuador, on Tuesday. The award was won by Miss Panama, Jessica Rodriguez, while the first runner-up spot was taken by Miss Mexico, Rosalva Luna. Miss TT’s costume was described as “an exotic and colourful green and blue creation representing the beauty of Trinidad and Tobago’s national bird.” It was created by popular local fashion designer Sonia Mack. According to a report on the contest, which took place on Tuesday night, the costume was stunning but Jones’ interpretation “was even more mesmerising”. In the overall competition, Jones has been given 25-1 odds of winning the title.
