L/Cpl Daniel shoots record

LOCAL crackshot Lance Cpl Roger Daniel smashed the air pistol shoot record at the 22nd edition of the Cible d’Or Caribbean Cup, hosted by the Barbados Rifle and Pistol Federation, in Bridgetown, yesterday. The Athens, Greece, Olympics-bound marksman completed his stand with 580 points at the Waterford Range to erase the previous mark.

His marksmanship yesterday, followed his gold medal effort in the 50-metre free pistol shoot in which he scored 528 points. Lance Cpl Daniel leaves for the World Cup in Milan, Italy, in two weeks where he will meet several Olympic-bound shooters in what will be his final warm up shoot.
