We have other queen makers

THE EDITOR: It seems that once we say queen show delegate, a certain team comes to mind, and our media think that only certain designers and choreographers are the ones to produce delegates of outstanding quality. Happily I noted that our latest triumph on the Miss Universe stage via Danielle Jones was under the care of another team of successful persons, who ensured that our delegate was outstanding. Sadly however a certain paper (not Newsday) chose to credit Allison Brown for her involvement in the training of Danielle, when she was not.

We noted that even the radio stations choose to glean comments from Peter Elias who was not connected with Danielle’s preparation and should not have even attempted to comment. While both Allison and Peter have much to offer, they are not the only ones who can mold a beauty, and I urge the media to please check your facts and give credit where credit is due. In closing my congratulations to all those unsung talented persons, who though media shy, deserve our heartfelt thanks for a job well done.
