Frustration or bad influence?

THE EDITOR: It is shocking to learn of the many crimes committed today by young people. Is it frustration or bad influence? Our youth should devote most of their time to their duties. They must not only pass their examinations but also try to master the subjects they study. They must not fritter away their time and energy in activities for which they are not equipped. Our youth must equip themselves for the great tasks that await them. A pressing problem of today is the liquidation of illiteracy.

Here our fortunate youth can bring light to the dark corners of our troubled nation. During the July-August vacation they can visit places and help the poor unfortunate people there. Our country can never prosper or make any real progress unless we build up good character, courage, purity, truthfulness, a keen sense of duty and justice — all these are virtues which must be cultivated by our youth. Our youth must make the most of their time, talents and energy.
