‘Magnificent 7’ beauties to get TV exposure
DELEGATES chosen to represent this country at international pageants will now be taught interviewing techniques for television, said Adrian Raymond. Raymond, an official of Peter Elias and Associates which now has seven pageant franchises under its umbrella called the “Magnificent 7”, disclosed this at a media conference on Friday evening at the Cascadia Hotel, St Ann’s.
The pageants are: Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss Caribes Hibiscus, Miss Carnival, Queen of the Caribbean and Miss Maja Mundal.
This new aspect to their training is being added to the already rigorous finishing the ladies undertake in preparation for these international outings. Raymond said: “Delegates will co-host Gayelle’s morning talk-show programme Cock-a-doodle-doo. This is all part of their conditioning. No longer will they be merely answering questions, but posing ones as well, as in addition to engaging in discussions live.” Gayelle television will be the official station for the “Miss Trinidad and Tobago Pageant 2004/2005,” scheduled to take place on August 22 at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s. The delegates are: Shawna Maharaj, Cheryle Ankrah, Lousanna Laurie, Crystal Cunningham, Kenesha Thom, Nishant Pooran and Jenna Marie Andre.
