Joe Public aim to keep unbeaten record
NATIONAL SUPER League leaders Joe Public will be looking to sustain their unbeaten form when they host Superstar Rangers in the Marvin Lee Stadium, Tunapuna from 5 pm today. Also known as “the Eastern Lions,” Joe Public are the early front-runners for the league title and have tallied a whopping 20 goals in their previous five matches, which they have all won. But any slip-up today can see WASA Clean and White take the lead. The WASA lads, two points behind Joe Public, will head to the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella to face the winless Club Sando at 4 pm.
Also at 4 pm, Harvard (like Joe Public and WASA unbeaten thus far), will host Police at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo; Maraval Youth Academy will square off against Biwater Stokelyvale at the Trinity College Grounds, Maraval while Moruga welcomes Caroni to their home ground at the Otis Memorial Park. A doubleheader will be staged at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima from 4 o’clock, with the cellar-placed Carib opposing Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix while third-placed L-Sporto Crab Connec-tion meeting Medianet East San Juan United.
