Cyclists at Flora Heart Beat race

CYCLING and road running will come together as the Flora Heart Beat Walk and Road Race takes place tomorrow at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain. The first event will begin at 4.15 pm while all the races will start and end in front of the bpTT building. Races will be staged in the kids, juniors, women, seniors, veterans and unattached categories, with the veterans and unattached pedalling a distance of two laps. The final open race will be 45 minutes plus two laps. Events organiser Michael Phillips expressed his wish that the event will signal the beginning “of a mutually beneficial relationship between cycling and road running.” Registration will be held from 2-4 pm at a cost of $25 per person, with all proceeds going toward the Trinidad and Tobago Heart Foundation.
