Killer driver did not stop

THE EDITOR: Celia Paul (is that her name) was murdered on the Crystal Stream Highway on the night of Saturday June 26, 2004 between 7 pm and 7.30 pm. That though is not the headline you will read in the media or hear on the new broadcast, if the news of her death is at all published. Celia Paul had just finished shopping on Saturday evening; groceries in hand, she had nearly completed crossing the Crystal Stream Highway when suddenly she was hit hard and lifted high off her feet, in an impact that was so severe — I prayed that God would have extended His hand when she was airborne and take her bodily straight to heaven before she hit the ground.

Above the crashing, crunching noise of metal, someone screamed. She disappeared, her Saturday shopping strewn across the verge of the highway as her murderer drove away at the same speed at which he or she terminated Celia Paul’s life. The impact savagely flung Celia Paul’s body into the corner of two intersecting drains adjacent to the Crystal Stream Highway. Caring residents in the area found her there soon after, her broken body folded by the impact of the firm and savage blow, lifeless and dead. The murderer did not stop. Whose daughter, wife or mother did you snuff out. Do you know? What if this did happen to yours? Murderer!
