Radio stations galore
THE EDITOR: Our already saturated airways will now become more crammed with 13 more radio stations, to the benefit and advantage of the government. We can only speculate as to who these lucky 13 will be, but if the government performs true to form as they did with the Citadel license and I 95.5 FM we can expect more of the same political condescending. Hopefully the Maha Saba will finally get their license but it is not beyond immagination that the government’s ally, the Jamaat Al Muslimeen, will be one of the lucky 13 (Radio Al Quarry). It is not inconceivable that the Community Leaders Inc will also be awarded their frequency too along with DOMA and the various Chambers of Commerce.
We should not be surprised if CEPEP also gets a radio band called Entrepreneur Vibes, or whatever. NEAP will surely be in the reckoning to be among that band of brothers with Professor Cudjoe giving his radio commentaries on “dem Indian and dem”. He may even call his station Radio Balisier! A Destiny Radio and Radio 2020 Vision can be expected. The Prime Minister has recently taken up a new past time of calling radio stations of his ilk to spew his government and party’s propaganda. Soon he will have 13 more stations to choose from to call in. Variety is the spice of life!
