Goodness still in abundance
THE EDITOR: Today, outside of my office, I again had the pleasure of witnessing the magic of real old fashioned virtue. A car stopped to allow an elderly lady to cross the road. However, she became afraid that the opposite line of traffic would not stop and retreated in defeat back to her side, and called on the car that initially stopped for her. However, on the other side, the driver of PBN 5527 stopped his/her vehicle and ensured the oncoming cars on the other side stopped as well, then a gentleman passenger in PBN 5527 got out of the vehicle and proceeded to offer his arm to this little old lady and walk her safely across to the other side!
It is always a wonderful pleasure to witness such kindness which quite frankly, I always seem to see as often as I have seen this before in our lovely island. Blind people, elderly people, school children, stray dogs generally could bank on someone stopping to help/show courtesy. Yes, the bad things have increased but the good, thank God, is still in abundance!
