Giles profits from success against Windies
LONDON: England left-arm spinner Ashley Giles has profited from his huge success in the current series against the West Indies and jumped into the Top-10 of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) world bowlers’ rankings for the first time in his career. By capturing nine wickets in the Second Test at Edgbaston, Giles earned an elevation of nine places up the ratings to number 10 — the best rating for an English spinner since John Emburey in the 1980s. Giles is by far the leading wicket-taker in the series, claiming 18 wickets in the two Test matches at 18.44 runs apiece.
