Police gun found in toilet
THE “hush hush” investigation into the disappearance of a gun issued to a police constable on Tuesday at the Tunapuna Police Station ended the same night, when the firearm was found where he left it — in the toilet. According to investigations, after a bout of heavy liming on August 2, the Emancipation holiday, the officer, who reportedly had a “hangover,” left his gun in the toilet. When he was unable to find the gun sometime later, an alarm was raised causing a total “lock-down” of the station as a frantic search was made to find it. The weapon was later found in the toilet. Senior officers confirmed the incident did take place, but refused to say anymore, claiming it was being handled internally.
