Nobody to blame
THE EDITOR: Regarding the current tax scandal associated with the North West Regional Health Authority, I cannot fathom how Mr Rahael can state that nobody was to be blamed for the money not being remitted to the Board of Inland Revenue. Surely somebody has to be at fault for deducting the money from employees and not submitting it to the Board of Inland Revenue.
As per usual with the PNM, when it relates to their political appointees, the issue is brushed aside and no one is willing to take the blame. We are talking about more than a million dollars over a two-year period. What about the words of the Prime Minister that those who enter public life should remember “thou shalt not steal?” Is the PNM exempt from following this commandment? Mr Rahael, you have to come better than that, the public is not that easily fooled.
