Milan shock Coaching School 2-1
HOPE VILLAGE MILAN, wallowing at the bottom of the Warner’s Group of Companies-sponsored Tobago Football Association Premier League, scored a resounding 2-1 upset victory over St Clair’s Coaching School. Garvin Richards stunned the defending three-time champions with a goal in the 24th minute, and then Reveille Adams netted in the 56th to give the Hope Village boys a two-goal cushion in Wednesday’s game at Shaw Park, on their way to only their second victory this season.
And despite pushing Milan back into their defensive area most of the second period, Rodney Nelson struck what turned out to be only a consolation. Earlier at the same venue, Pepsi Hills United and Biwater Stokelyvale played to a 0-0 draw. But at Canaan #1 ground, Bethel United shut out 1976 FC Phoenix 2-0 on goals by Ryan James and Jason Surrey. Despite their second defeat this season, however, Coaching School remain top of the standings on goal-difference over Charlotteville Unifiers who were idle. Golden Lane lead the Western Conference by two points and Roxborough Lakers hold a five-point lead in the Eastern Conference.
