E/W Coaching School lead the East
EAST/WEST Coaching School surged to the top of the Emerald Plaza & Apartments-sponsored Eastern Football Association after a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Joe Public. The hero for Coaching School was Allan Thomas who scored what turned out to be the only goal of the match. Previous leaders WASA Clean & White suffered a surprise 4-2 thumping from lowly Athletico Sports Institute. Anthony Peters drove home a double, Robert Calsin and Clint Raymond added the other goals for Athletico, while Nigel Smith and Erick Rodrick got the goals for WASA.
Another surprise victory came from Shoe Locker Young Hearts who edged Malta Carib Alcons 2-1. Keon Wilson and Keston Peruza got the winners’ goals, while Cordell Lucas netted for Alcons. BM Spurs also won 2-1 over Coast Guard on goals from Jackie Peruza and Monty Carmona. Sheldon Albert got the goal for the seamen. And HCL Strikers and TSTT played to a 1-1 draw, with Steven Stoute scoring for the Strikers and Don Endeavour for the telecommunications men.
